the boring life of dani
Well it seems that everyone is a bit lacking in the department of posting. I have nothing better to do, as it would seem the rest of you do, so i midaswell make a post. im in vernon visiting my parents and brother. so far absolutly nothing exciting except for the my tax return check and my trips to the chiropracter to fix my screwed up neck. and since apparently this is interesting (matt) my boyfriends name is tyler we've been together almost a year. umm i was a nanny for a very rich family, they took me on a trip to hawaii and bought me a car. then i quit, and now im jobless! so the hunt for the perfect job continues. ok thats all for now

Startling, I know
So today I realized something. I like cars, and I like driving them, and I like... well, them and driving them. In regards to cars, those are the only two things I like. Now that we've established that, lets get into what I dont like about cars. Namely: washing them as a job. Sort of irritating. Today I had to wash the same car four times, not because I didn't do it well enough, but because birds kept 'unloading' all over it, and every other car on the lot.
It was around the third time washing that 350z that I realized "You know what? I don't really like washing cars too much, and i think i'm gonna persue something else." Indeed, I realized that I want a career change. But many people hate there careers and keep working, year after year!
It was around the fourth time washing that 350z that I remembered that, infact, I will only be washing cars for a few more months, a few more weeks if I can find something with better hours. Indeed, not a career at all.
Then i remembered 'oh yeah, thats why i'm working here. to save up money to go to school to persue a career i will enjoy.'
Then I had some sour cream glazed tim bits, came home, and wrote this for all 'yall to read.

I downloaded
The one good thing about my job is that I can listen to my ipod all day long. So I've been learning lotsa Japanese lately. Which led me to another idea. I can put audio books on my ipod and actually learn stuff all day long! Wewt! I downloaded this like 5000 word ivy league vocab audio book, which is totally GAY, but i think it would be cool to have this impressive vocab. haha i'm weird i know. Okay bye everyone.

Hey everyone,
All your posts have been so great to read. And i figured i might as well share a little about what’s been going down with me for the last halfish year. So before the new year I was in Winnipeg rockin out at work (working for the St. Boniface hospital) and playing music/singing at the house of prayer there as well. (http://www.sanctuaryhop.com/) So after being there for three months i ended up getting accepted to take a 6 month internship at IHOP down in Kansas City, MO. Its been three months since i've been here and so far everything has been amazing. The internship is half over and i feel that its been a great opportunity for me so far. God has really been making an impact on me throughout this internship. People always ask us what we do down here and basically what we are, are intercessionary missionaries. So... We pray. A lot. hah. and grow in the Knowledge of God. If i could explain my time down here in one quick little blurb i would probably just reference Eph. 1:17-19. its a prayer we use a lot down here, and it basically describes my goals and hopes that i want to achieve during my life here on the earth. After the internship i'll be going back to Winnipeg to work and be part of the house of prayer again for all of eternity. So maybe i'll run into any one of you sometime... someday... I'm also planning on making a trip to BC since everyone is moving out there. Hopefully in the summer? So if anyone from out my way wants to road trip out sometime just give me a heads up. All right, Bless you all!!! i miss you and send hugs and kisses from the states!

Well, I figure its about time I posted something. Hrmm... What does everyone need to know.
The basics: I'm livin in chilliwack BC, with my friend Jamison dick (played in captain together) thats where Rob lee lives, and matt lives like 20 mins down the road. Everyone should move out here.
Life is goin pretty good right now, I am working at a car dealership doing pretty much everything a guy can do... from washing cars to being an aweful salesman. I sold a gold cavalier, worth $3000, and thats it. woot. Basically, it pays poorly but is very easy and It gives me enough free time to keep myself sane and focus on more important things. The kind of job you can leave at the door!
I'm savin up my money so i can go to columbia bible college in the fall to be a worship pastor. I'm all accepted and everything, all i gotta do is show up sept 1st with four grand. Its good cause most of my briercrest credits transfered, so i'm actually like second/thirdish year sorta. So its good to know that I dont have to start over from scratch, and its pretty cool to actually know what direction God is leading me in. Bible college is expensive though, and living in BC is expensive too, so I guess we'll see how it all works out. I'm getting involved in our church which is good, i'm being mentored to be a worship leader there. I even get to direct our choir, which is rad.
Either then those things, the most exciting thing (the best for last!) is that I'm dating a very rad and amazing girl. Her name is Jen Lee. Its a guarentee that you all know her! she's rad, radder then anyone else ever. So Jen, nissan, and Church/soon-college!
So yeha. thats my first contribution.

the Owner of the couch
50 yup 50. that's the approx number of people who have "gotten" busy on that good old couch of mine. i just thought i would clear that up for all of you. any way thanks for inviting me to this wonderful collection of friends. what a great idea guys. i wish i had something great and exciting to report to all you all but sadly i really don't lead a very exciting life at this point. i was in caronport for the Easter weekend and let me tell you, that was fantastic. good to see some old friends again, especially you Karl. i LOVE you. haha seriously though...i do. so its back at work again today after 4 days off. it's snowing here right now. its unbelievable. snowing in April. i guess i should have expected it but nothing prepares you for it. its no fun trying to put a building together in the snow. let me tell you. ah well. such is life. anyway i think Jericho is calling my name so I'm off to numb my brain sitting in front of the boob tube. i love all of you

Friends wanted
so we need more people to join this blog.
So far it's me, aimee, rob s, and karl. We also invited Britain, Andrew, Rob l, Drew, and Dani. They seem to be lazy though, so harass them if you can and make them join. Also if you wanna get some more old school port people just say.
Anyways my day was fine today. Was pouring like no other, the power went out at work, and it was out for hours so we just went home. The power company told us that a bird did it, they were totally lying though. There was a car accident crashed into a pole or something and people died. Oh well. I'm glad to have the day off. tata

Obligatory Welcome Post
Thats right, this is a blog for our esteemed friends. Rob and I picked the title of the blog. Andrew's couch is something we all hold dear. I shudder to think of all the things that have gone down on that couch. Probably at least 20 people have made out on that thing. So while you're here post how your life is going, where your life is going, any interesting internet sites you come across, your dreams, nightmares, evil thoughts, good thoughts, happy thoughts, sad thoughts, political thoughts, spiritual thoughts, pictures of travels, pictures of dead people. Anything you want us to read. So welcome I hope you enjoy your stay. To get things started on the right foot I will give us a Beatles quote
"I am the walrus"
